Member contributions of time and money help preserve the natural beauty of Great Neck today and for future generations and provide a sanctuary for wildlife.
The A.B. Clark Beach requires annual regular maintenance. Membership dues and other money raised general upkeep of the property, a summer gatekeeper at the beach entrance off Clark Road, and more.
The AGN also maintains the "Welcome to Great Neck" Triangle and sign at the entrance to Great Neck on Jeffrey’s Neck Road. An AGN volunteer spring cleanup collects and disposes of refuse and litter from the Triangle and Clark Beach, as well as landscapes and maintains the Triangle during the spring, summer, and fall. Monthly volunteer cleanups of Clark Beach occur from April through September each year.
The annual AGN Scholarship is awarded each spring to deserving high school seniors from Great Neck who are members of AGN. An annual Turkey Tune-Up 5K Run/Walk is held in November as the main fundraiser for the scholarship.
The annual SummerFest is held each August to bring together AGN members while also raising funds via the 50-50 Raffle. Other gatherings for neighbors to socialize also are held occasionally. They include wine-tasting parties, guest lectures, and boat cruises.
