Clark Beach Dog Regulations
A. B. Clark Beach, which spans from Bowdoin Road to Clark Road and includes the beach and tidal flats, the beach road, and the parking area, is a unique natural resource. Dogs are permitted on Clark Beach to enjoy this resource with you. In the interest of protecting this natural resource and ensuring a pleasant beach experience for everyone, dog walkers must comply with the Clark Beach dog regulations.
- Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times to the mean low tide line from May 15 to October 1 between the hours of 8am and 8pm. Please consider keeping your dog leashed in the late fall, winter, or early spring when the beach is busy.
- Dog owners must have their dogs under control at all times and treat other beach goers courteously.
- Dog owners must pick up and dispose of their dogs’ waste.
- Dog owners must keep their dog out of freshwater wetland areas to protect wildlife.
- Dog owners must not allow their dog to harass people, or chase, hunt, or harass wildlife or other dogs.
The AGN Board will work with the Town of Ipswich Animal Control Officer to enforce these regulations. Help keep A.B. Clark Beach dog-friendly. Be a responsible dog walker by showing respect for non-dog walkers who might be afraid of or allergic to dogs. Thank you for your support.
