Clark Beach is owned and maintained by the Association of Great Neck, Inc. It is for the use and enjoyment of the residents of Great Neck, and for its preservation as a scenic, recreational, and wildlife area. This private property includes 23 acres of a freshwater pond, 11 acres of marshland and beach, and 32 acres of tidal flats. Great Neck residents and their guests are asked to observe the following rules to maintain its quality for people and wildlife:
- Use of the area is limited to Great Neck residents and their guests only.
- Users of the property are requested to behave in an orderly manner and be respectful to others.
- THERE IS NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK.
- Please stay on marked designated walkway and paths. These lands are a fragile conservation area.
- All vehicles must clearly display a current AGN beach sticker and are restricted to the beach road and parking areas.
- All prams stored on the Beach must be registered with AGN and clearly display a current pram/kayak sticker.
- Kindly dispose of your own litter by carrying it from the area with you.
- Clamming is permitted in accordance with the Town of Ipswich By-Laws.
- Dogs must be leashed from 8 am –8 pm from May 15 to October 1, and their waste removed from the beach in accordance with the AGN Dog Policy.
- No recreational off-road vehicles are permitted. This includes, but is not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, mopeds, snowmobiles, and jet skis.
- Hunting is not permitted.
- No boats, rafts, or any floatation devices can be used in Clark Pond.
- Overnight camping is not permitted.
- Open fires are not permitted.
- Fireworks are not permitted on AGN property unless previously approved by the AGN Board.
